What thickness styrene?

I'm making a couple of styrene signs that will be mounted flush on either side of a trailer. The size will be 28 X 24" - horizontal format - and I'm getting ready to order .03 styrene. Will that thickness be appropriate for this project? The trailer is used for parades, etc. and the signs will be taken off and stored when it's not in use.

How are these being mounted? That would determine thickness. Any VHB or thick tapes or even velcro will cause it to bow inward from the edges if it's too thin, so you'd want like .060 or higher.
