Is 3M series 50 equal to Oracal 651? Is it as good?

yes, but it is not as good I think. It shrinks significantly more.

I like the cut vinyl from Oracal, 651 and 751 and only cut vinyl I get from 3M is the 7125 premium cast series

That's what I was worried about. I have always got good life out of 651.

We use a lotta 50 series in white, red and black for el' cheapo signs. We get the 48" logs. Don't recall much shrinkage on any of them, but then, I don't go out looking for problems.
