I have an opportunity to buy a 54 " versacamm in good shape with a bunch of media. What is a good price for this model?

How old is the machine?

1-2 years old, then maybe 10-12k
3 years or older, maybe 8-10k

You really need to get a maintenance report from the machine.
It could be close to needing head replacement if the shot counts are over 6 billion.
