Whats up Texas!

So after a 26 hour drive from Pa to texas in finally here. it sure was a ruff ride with all the rain, two girls, and a 8 yr old boy. but the weather is far better than Pa. so for all you texacanas whats there to do here? im here for family and thanksgiving and in the fort hood area.any suggestions would be great.

Fort Worth is great!! Check out the stock yards. Dallas is more of a financial center, so for great nights out, head Austin way, IMO.

Also, no decent steaks, akin to Pat's Steaks, but get ready for terrific steaks and BBQ, Texas style.

Plus, you'll like the weather :^)

Head bathroom cleaner.
Take the kiddos to Sea World in San Antonio while your there go by the Alamo, it will only take about an hour to see everything there. There are alot of caves in the hill country, around San Marcus, Austin, San Antonio area. If you get up to Dublin area get a real Dr. Pepper. Go by fort hood and thank some troops for their service. Austin has 6th street if you like bars. Here are some links to some travelers guides and such.

thanks guys. as far as the troops go im here for my uncle hes the command sargent major. and we are going on post to serve the troops on thanksgiving so i think i got that covered.. as far as aurtin we are going to the riverwalk and alamo so this should be interesting ..appreciate all the ideas if you can think of any more let me know.
