We do ours on the flatbed, too, but occasionally we will do it on the Roland. We generally didn't laminate or liquid clear any of them.
We just did three on real canvas last week on the flatbed. The canvas was already stretched and had a slight bulge, so we built a little jig and they came out really neat. They were Christmas gifts.
Many years ago, I did some on our old aqueous printer CJ500. Afterward, I took some liquid clear and built it up with a regular brush and when finished, it looked like the paint strokes and the real McCoy.
