Where can I get metallic look acrylic for laser cutting

Can anyone give me a supplier for metal look acrylic sheet that I can laser cut into letters? Preferably in Canada. I have a customer asking for this and I don't know who carries it. Or can I just stick metallic film to acrylic and cut it out?

when we need to do this, we usually laminate some rowmark engravers plastic onto clear acrylic, cut the letters and paint the returns to match the faces.

Gemini has metallic plastics that it cuts into letters. depending on what you are doing it might be cheaper to just buy some custom or stock font flat cut letters from them.

There are many metal laminates you can apply to acrylic and then cut....Wilsonart has every metal type you can think of.

Thank you for all the input. I have a big, 100 watt laser cutter so I don't really want to order laser cut letters from Gemini. I can't cut vinyl but mylar is OK. Vinyl makes hydrochloric acid when it's laser cut... not good for the machinery.

I must have seen the metallic acrylic in the Gemini catalog. Just wondered where I might get some. Brushed aluminum would be ideal for this job. I'm sure I've come across acrylic mirror somewhere too.

I will check the links in the thread. Thanks again.

brushed aluminum is easy, like i said laminate some rowmark to the desired thickness of acrylic and cut away, paint the returns when done
