Which Flexi RIP should we be looking at?

[h=3]We have an HPL25500 Latex 60" printer and a Mutoh Ultima SC 1400D. We want to produce contour cut printed vinyl as well as cut regular solid vinyl for lettering, etc. We purchased Onyx Production House with Cut Server, but now discovered that Onyx does not support cutting regular solid colored vinyl. Mutoh only supports Flexi. Flexi has three different versions. Anyone know which version we need? Hopefully the $1495 one.[/h]

We have 2 versions of Flexi I use Flexi Print to print/cut and Flexi Expert for solid vinyl I am also running a HP L25500 with a Graphtec 8000-130 cutter

If you are looking for Flexi as a tool for designing and cutting vinyl on your Mutoh cutter (typically colored vinyl rolls that are not printed), then almost any version of Flexi will do this. If you are looking for print & cut production exclusively from Flexi, then you would need the Pro product. It sounds like all you need is a lower end version for cutting vinyl, as you have Onyx for print and print/ cut production.

keep what you have and get the cutting module plugin for illustrator..

Thanks - Flexi offers huge discount

Thanks everyone for responding. I discovered that Flexi offers a 60% discount if you already own Onyx or other competitive RIP. Still a lot of money, but not as bad as we thought. After looking at all the versions we need at least Expert.
