Second, as POCONOPETE asked, what is your target market?

Different printers are used for different applications. For General Sign Making, Eco-Sol Printers are popular, but then you have several venders. Some use great marketing to get you to buy them, then it turns out you've bought a boat anchor. Others don't market well, but give great results.

Ask for speed vs. quality comparisons, and remember that 720 x 720 is typically your target print resolution. (It'll vary occasionally)

Based on that info, start calling.

This is great--didnt think i would get a reply that quick!--i guess my target market is quite specialised , certainly to start with anyway--we are doing a lot of small motorcycle grafics as we have a motorcycle buisness , but really want to branch out and make a go of this with wraps bing the ultimate goal.

I am wondering how a Summa DC4sx (thermal) would do for your application compared to a Roland SP300v (inkjet).

I believe a lot of people have good luck with thier SP300v,s and such...but it seems that not a lot of people have the DC4sx units.

One thing we do know is that the people with Gerbers like them. This makes me more curious about the DC4sx machines.
