Which roland printer?

I'm in the market again for a printer. I had a VS-640i and never had a problem. Last year, I bought a truvis vs-540 and had multiple problems with it that the dealer would not fix. It would not cut worth a dime. I am thinking about trying a (new model) truvis again, or a XR-640. I've been leaning heavily toward the xr-640 because of its solid track record. If you was in the market, which one would you get, and why?

Why stuck at Roland after your experience? Epson has very interesting machines currently, as Mimaki too.

I think I would bail on Roland and get an Epson printer with a separate cutter. I read too many posts about Roland owners languishing with unresolved issues. Epson makes the print system, and all I read about Epson is positive.

Epson + Graphtec (or Summa if budget allows) = Amazing.
New "L" series just announced too. New 1.5L bags of ink instead of 700mL carts.

Basically the same machine with an off-board pouch cabinet that sits under the current ink tray.
Suggested for users using 10L+ of ink per month which gives around 20% less running costs.
Otherwise the machines are identical apparently.
