white printing on black fabric (flag)

Ok, maybe it's a dump question, but I can't figure it out.

I do alot of printing for music bands and I often been ask if I can print white ink on black flag. I've checked some of them and the fabric is black, both sides, and the graphics is printed in white only. the sizes are 8ftX10ft or 10ftx10ft. How is it printed? Dye sublimation / screen print? And they are made only one at a time.

thanks.

is the flag made of nylon or polyester. i am guessing they are direct fabric dye sub black to white material.

I did not touch the fabric. But it was black on both sides. Does the black dye would do this (ink go thru the material so it would make the back black)?
