background info on myself:
I own a SP 540v I bought from a national sign franchise. They used it heavily but maintained it. I've had it for 6 months. I don't use it everyday but more and more as business develops. The black\blue head is finally giving out.
I want to believe that i can change it (& the dampers) myself for $950 instead of a Roland Tech for $1450. I just need some convincing. I am handy and have no problem with the cleanings. I can read and follow directions well.
Is there any way to take a look at the service manual before buying the head to get a sense of what action is needed?
