Depends on what you are looking to weld. If its seams, a Leister or Miller weldmaster are the way to go. Simply depends on your needs....if you want to hem a lot of banners quickly either a good sewing machine or one of the sit behind welders from Miller would do the trick. We have a 20 ft welder from Miller and its great for our biz.

We have a Leister Uniplan with the hem attachment. I can hem a 4x8 banner on all sides in about 5 minutes.

It's not cheap (about $5k for the welder and hem attachment) but it saves a TON of time over hem tape and, IMO, gives a much more quality hem.
