Who Would Win

Skyhigh thinks his 2000 Chevy 1500 5.3 gas will beat my 2003 Ford F350 6.0 diesel in an 1/8 mile. What do you think!

I think it depends on how fast you can push a f350 an 1/8 of a mile.

Chevy all the way!

I'm not married to Ford or GM because I own both, but I gotta say Ford on this one if they are all stock. (no offense John) I will say that my '76 Chev will take your Ford in this case, but mine is not a stock mill by any means. A friend of mine bought a new '03 6.0 like yours and we had the same discussion, raced 1/4 mile and I beat him...barely.

My little diesel VW would probably take ya'll.

Or I could throw my '03 F350 dually in to the mix too.
I'll run my 97 5.7L Chevy 3500 flatbed against your dually.
I've got at least 1200lbs of rusted diamond plate & C-channel over the rear wheels. No wheel spin - just grab and go.......

ya got me again Wayne. Just took a sip of coffee when I read your post. Warm coffee out the nostrils.

That 6.0 would probably give me a good run, if it wasn't pulling a f350 one ton......and, if it didn't break down somewhere along the 1/8 mile track.

FORD = Fix Or Repair Daily

Sounds like no contest there. :rock-n-roll:

Fred you got that all wrong FORD = First On Race Day

Skyhigh that F350 weight to power ratio is more correct than your Chevy 1/2 ton extenda cab which they had to down size the fuel tank to keep it legal for weight limits:omg:

Chip, Intake, exaust and a small propane kit on the diesel and eat new Camaros for breakfast.

I am by no means a Ford man but the potential with any newer diesel in these truck is insane. Chip alone in these can be worth a easy 130 HP and 200+ torque.

Don't get me started on cars, I am a huge gearhead. I seem to be wasting more and more time on here haha

I would have to bank on the Chevy though. Unless the diesel is tricked out. I have seen some 10 sec 1/4 mile black smokers.

Someone needs to do a "your ride" thread. I want to post up haha
