Window Perf Failure - Looks to be burning.

I have used the Fellers brand perf with good results for a few months. I took mine off due to me wanting to change it up but so far so good here.

I've seen a van locally with the EXACT same problem your having OP and perf isn't rated long anyway so 6 months and beyond is decent IMO. It's pretty much temporary signage from what i understand.
