Windows 11 experience

I am curious- is anyone here using Windows 11 in their printshop and how is the experience?

I'm sketched out for a bunch of reasons on changing to Win11, including that most of my workstations aren't compatible. I just had to modify the registry for one of my machines to stop Windows 11 installs after accidently approving the install. I'm guessing that I'll buy Windows 10 security updates after the free ones get canceled and switch to Windows 10 IOT or long term servicing channel, which will have updates til 2032.

I tried win11 and I do not recommend it. You might want to go with your win10 IOT plan, or figure out how to switch to Linux. I think it's all downhill from here for windows. Just swap SSD and try it yourself to see.

I use Windows 11 as my main work station for everything including graphic design. I have never had any issues and enjoy using it. I also have other workstations running on Win 10, Win 7 and Vista and all devices on the network run smoothly and communicate well. My Win 11 rig is a custom built Origin PC with a crazy NVDIA GPU (four monitors) and 96 GB of RAM. This thing is outrageously fast!

I just switched my main design station to Windows 11 last week and from a work standpoint there is no functional difference. I'll be gradually switching all of the other computers or replacing those which are incompatible over the coming year. Except the Windows XP machine which runs vinyl cutting (not print contour cutting) on our old Mimaki cutter that doesn't have a driver for newer Windows that works with Sign Wizard.
