wireless usb hub

Anyone ever try running a cutter with a wireless usb hub. We are moving to a new building and would like to have the cutter on the opposite wall as the computer. Seems like wireless would be a good idea. I have a 30" panther that I need to run this way. I also have a 54" mimaki but will probably just run it off my rip computer. To make it more complicated I have to use a usb to serial adapter to run the panther cutter. Any ideas are appreciated.

I had that hooked up to my sp300 and it would stop halfway throught the prints.
