Here's a file sent by a customer that he wants on his semi's doors. He designed it long time ago and cannot find the original file for font. I can deal with printing his file but would like to find the font used in order to generate a contour-cut (too many logo to print to cut 'em by hand)

Do you have an idea what font it is? I've run it through different Font Finder w/o success. *I know the bevel effect has been created in a second step

Thanks for your help. There's too many curves to expect creating the cutpath in a reasonnable time.

Take the original file into Photoshop, use the Magic Wand with a tolerance around 25 and select all the white spaces.
Open Path window, Click Make Work Path from Selection
Go to File > Export > Paths to Illustrator
Should save as an .AI file.
Open that up, import the raster file and line it up with the paths, should just need some fine tuning.

I just learned how to change my title status
What Fechin said is one easy way to do it. Illustrator image trace and play with the threshold will also get you a similar result. May need a tiny bit of cleanup, but should get you plenty close to work with. Don't make it harder than it has to be, as long as the file you have is of sufficient resolution for the printing part of it.
