This is where conveying to employees the importance of keeping an editable copy of EVERY job in the archives really helps save time and frustration. Hard drive storage is dirt cheap and we have multiple terrabytes worth of space as well as offsite, cloud backups.
We try to get across the message that co-workers should treat every job like its their last because they might get hit by a bus while out to lunch or buy a winning lottery ticket and leaving a mess to one's successor does nothing to help the company or our opinion of them.
