It seems to coming from the cutter potion of the cut carrier, If I separate the cutting potion from the printing potion and manually move the cutter across the length of the printer I can feel a clunking noise and feel it in the head. I will attach a video. It doesnt do it constantly. but i keep getting a service 105 codes and scan motor code 0080 0000.
I have a feeling that this clunking is the reasoning behind these codes.

I couldnt get the videos to upload on here.

Here is the link to my drop box with the videos in there.

I'd take the top cover off and see what the trailing cable is doing. The carriage itself seems to be running pretty smoothly.

Good Luck

give it thorough cleaning & lubrication
i don't think you are anxious to change the bearings
IF YOU DO, original bearings, not the garbage from digiprint or one of those companies
it could end up worse than you have now

Do you have a part number for that bearing?

My experience is, that the timing belt and pulleys are the culprit. There mostly is dust and ink mist build up on the pulleys until the belt jumps teeth.
I use a tooth pick or a cut cable tie to remove the buildup on the pulleys and you are good to go for another couple of years.

There should be there on here with the part number. I know I’ve posted it before.

If you order directly from a bearing supplier it’s about half the cost but it’s also a lot harder to do so I’d order through a dealer
