XC-540 Printing too Dark

Please help, I am printing a very dark banner out of versaworks to my XC-540 printer. I have printed proofs on 4 different profiles and all are coming out too dark. The best collor I get is when I use the "density control only" profile but the detail in the dark areas is just not there. Please help. Also reds are printing very dark.

Tryu printing a sample at highspeed, it may be just enough to fix the colour.

If I'm not mistaking, density control only will come out very dark. Try pre-press US. That seems to have given us the best color especially on reds. I am guess you have the profiles all updated, and that you are using one of the RIP C profiles?
