"Y" axis alarm

Hello.
I just bought a Graphtec FC7000Mk2 plotter and it is giving me nothing but grief.

I was cutting some practice vinyl and decided I needed to reset the blade. When I push the 'test' option, the cutting head moves to the right, stops, starts to move back and the "Y" position alarm goes off.

I've restarted the dang thing about ten times and have given up.

It's Saturday, there's no tech support and I have lots of work to do.

Does anybody know why this is happening?

This plotter seems too fussy for me. I might have to send it packing.

My old Ioline had its quirks but it never complained!

Thanks in advance for any help! :thankyou:
