Ye olde Camm-1 cable question

Hi

Been away from Signs101 for a long time but good to come back hoping for help!

I love my poor old Roland camm-1 and trying to make it last as long as I do.

Wondering what to do about its old cable which needs a com1 (?) [19+ pins monster] port which new computers don't seem to have anymore.

Is it possible to buy a new cable that suits whatever the standard port is these days or get the necessary port added.
?

I'd rather update the cable so that I can run the plotter from a laptop and I can't see it being possible to get a big chunky port added to a laptop.

My current desktop which is 5 years old is playing up so while I can't cut I might as well find out what I need to do and may need to do it in a hurry.

Many thanks, Ian

Hi and thanks

Hopefully getting it tomorrow. I've had the plotter since 1989 so couldn't conceive that this is possible!
