I was at a seminar about 15 years ago. Butch “SuperFrog” Anton held up a piece of vinyl about 4" x 12" and asked the group "What is this?" the responses were anything from a scrap to trash. "NO" he said. "It is a remnant!" He then went on to talk about how flooring stores do not have scraps of carpet they have remnants because everyone thinks of scraps as garbage or free stuff, but a remnant has value. Either way it has stuck with me on all things in the shop. With printing now I hardly have any remnants of colored vinyl and nobody wants white.
