Question Zund Cut Center and Onyx QR Code question

Our company just upgraded to Onyx Thrive and we got a new Zund about a year ago that uses Zund Cut Center, we use two seperate computers for Onyx and Zund. So far I have been able to have Onyx print a file that was set up with cutlines, then print with a QR code and registration dots, the only problem is the cut file will send over to the Zund, but the QR code does not read when we use the QR option for selecting a cut file on the Zund. The cut file still shows up in the list on ZCC but it just wont read the QR code. I talked with a Onyx tech support rep and they have it setup to have ZCC print to cut server, and it generates and sends a cutfile to a hotfolder on the zund computer. How do you guys use the QR feature for the Zund? And any workflow tips?

These are the settings I currently have configured, this is how the Onyx tech rep had me set it up.

It’s all about your print!
Try bypassing cut server all together and just use the (Direct) option. (Cut server works better for running a smaller cutter like a graphtec or summa) I don't use QR codes but I do use barcodes and the direct is a little smoother. Sometimes Cut Center will do weird things and you have to restart it to have it send the file.

I just tried this option, it doesn't seem to send the cut file over to the Zund, it's connected to the Zund in the section to update material list, and it would flash green when I would test the connection in CUT-Server in the TCP/IP section. I was able to get the Zund to actually read QR Codes now but it says there is no file and gives me an error.

Well I was able to find out why the QR Codes don't work, I have everything set correctly, Onyx Thrive's current version just has a bug that messes up what the QR code is supposed to have written in it and tech support says there is currently no fix and they are working on it. So yeah.

Which version of Onyx are you using? I know I had issues with 19 not working on direct but 22 and up work.
Hate when Onyx tells me that they have an issue like that and don't know when they're going to fix it. The last one was Media Manager wouldn't work over the network. It would only open on the computer that had the key. So we were constantly moving the key around because our Colorado's are very dependent on Media Manager.

Onyx Thrive 24 is what I’m using, yeah it was kinda frustrating now I’m in a waiting list for when the update comes out
