typically it takes 2 years to get into court.
although the arrest notice was probably fairly prominent, if he is acquitted, it will be on the bottom of page 92
& about the size of the little ticket from when you stand in line to buy cold cuts

Keep in mind it's a very small and very rural community - everyone knows everyone, and the paper is probably 6 pages.

It's best said in a letter/email with a check less your expenses. Ask me how I know? LOL

If the cops found anything on his computer or on disc drives, etc. Chances are pretty good he's guilty. A guy in my town got busted from an FBI sting thing last year. 10 cop cars showed up at his house. The neighbor called his wife at work and she rushed home...was terrible. Thousands of kid porn videos. Is he innocent? I doubt it.

Don't tease, did the guy show up on a furlough expecting to cash in his ancient deposit to go buy some scratch offs?
I knew a kid, 17 or 18, made a video of him and the girl that was definitely 17, got arrested for cp charges. Also knew a kid that grew up to be construction teacher got picked up for being inappropriate with a student. Both guys were weird, but never would have pinned them for being 'page one arrests' kinda weird, that was reserved, I thought, for the kid that passed out while huffing duster and driving.
What did all these morons have in common? Never bought a sign from me! Idiots.

You can get a copy of the check back through your bank, so you can have his address if you don't already record it.
Mail him a statement of costs incurred and refund the remainder in the form of your business check. Your check has
an expiration time, dictated by you or your bank, so if he does not cash it, you have tried. If your work order says
deposits are not refundable, it is yours for work done. If he comes back you can decide then what is fair given
the time passed and what you have invested in his work. Seems to me like the guy will need some legal funds
whether he is guilty or innocent. How would you like to be treated if this were you and you were innocent?

Ha Ha!! The guy was saying inappropriate things and scared me so I mailed him the deposit and statement back. That was a few months ago - haven't heard from him since. He's lucky cuz if he shows up again he's getting Raid in the face unless my son is there to physically remove him LOL

Yea, send him a bill for spending time on here reading on what to do with his deposit.
If you do see the guy, ask him if he was friends with JBurton when he was younger.

Possibly, but again, I'm sure he didn't buy a sign from me, so he's surely a pedo. At least that's what I tell myself every time I lose a bid. F*cking pedos, the lot of 'em!
Wait, do I hear somebody knocking?

Most pedos are white, based on what I see when I glance through the sex offender registry. Which is inherently racist in itself...

I have a better solution than the registry: a pen of hungry pigs and a shovel.

I get the pigs, but what's the shovel for?
Go Hogs!
Kinda like George Carlin's pay per view death pyramid games? Win-win for all involved.

Need a shovel to bury whatever the pigs leave behind. These things need to be planned out beforehand.

Just hang on to it for him...
How much free money interest will it earn you over the next 20-30 years?

Coincidentally, the customer came back not long after I started this thread. After a brief discussion with an outside party I decided to continue the business relationship. 'Innocent until proven guilty' and all that.
