Heres your answer:
[h=2]Avoid occasional SE 45.1:03[/h]Inter swath delay provides more time for drying of ink, and hence can improve/eliminate several IQ issues.
Until now, interswath delay modification was only possible in L26500&L28500 printers, not L25500 ones. The new firmware enables this setting modification via the Front Panel in order to overcome several different IQ issues such as the following:
  • Ink smudges when touched or plot looks oily (also known as rewetting)
Increasing the inter-pass drying time can allow better drying on consecutive passes.
  • Graininess
If it is more visible in dark or saturated colors, or at the left and right edges of the print, there may be a problem with ink coalescence. Increasing the inter-pass drying can allow better drying on consecutive passes.
  • Horizontal banding
If bands affect mostly dark or saturated colors, or only area fills near the edges of the substrate, the cause could be insufficient drying of the ink. Increasing the inter-pass drying time can allow better drying on consecutive passes.
  • Vertical banding
Thin vertical bands visible by darkness, typically seen in the first 150–200 mm of the print on vinyl and banner glossy substrates in high-density area fills, or in backlit applications: Modify the inter-pass drying time to allow better drying with consecutive passes.
Slight differential banding at the sides and/or color differences may appear at the very edges of the print. In this case, try to increase the inter-pass drying time to allow better drying on consecutive passes.
  • Tiling
Adding a short inter-pass delay can yield better color matching from left to right by reducing dry-time differences between the sides and the center of the print.
It has also been seen to help address color consistency throughout the length of the plot.

Please take into account that increasing this delay increases the total printing time slightly.
The solution has been implemented in the following two manners:
  • Static: It is set when there is no ongoing job (The value is applied to all the subsequent jobs). The Inter-pass delay offset is added to Image Quality Maintenance Menu.
  • On the fly: It is set when the print job is ongoing (The value is applied only to the current job). Inter-Pass delay offset is added to Image Quality Maintenance Menu -> Adjust Printing Params.

[h=2]Avoid occasional SE 45.1:03[/h]Ocasional SE 45.1:03 – Rewinder Servo Shutdown, usually when loading a new heavy roll, has been encountered in several cases and is now fixed in the firmware.
As is not a HW issue in these cases, before carrying out any HW replacement; please upgrade the firmware to the latest version. Once this is done, if the issue still occurs, proceed with HW checks.
