Totally agree with this. Color management and right settings are important and will improve things compare to default settings but like you said there is some level of graininess that can't be avoided. And for those users (like TomK) which are competing in small sticker/decals segment this...
This look exactly the same like mine output from HP 300 (also seems like the similar output from users in few other threads). I've gone trough every thread and tried every advice posted (result is still more or less the same). Most confusing for me is that there are some posts which claims there...
We compared both and choose KeenCut SteelTrak as it is much sturdier cutter than FSC (just compare construction of both cutters if you can check them live).
We cut dibond with it but you need to be aware of few annoyances - it bends part which isn't clamped and it curves an edge when cutting...
In short: was there ->did the research->decided to go with Caldera and never opened Flexi again. Now I get goosebumps just to think to print from Flexi.
(Disclaimer: This is my personal choice/experience I am not stating one is superior compared to other).
Thanks ... works like a charm. This option is a real time-saver. I just don't understand why HP didn't enable this option from the start. Maybe they were trying to emphasize "smile" effect in every row/job of print and cut workflow. Must be managerial decision :banghead:
I am running Caldera 10.2 but continuous printing option is still not enabled. Our rep is still investigating this and I will post as soon as I get some news.
I really hope you will find (and share) solution for this but I don't think this is possible as whole point of bar-code server is that you cut roll without intervention of the user.
I've never tried to flex cut paper posters on Summa (our rep even advised against it). Would you mind sharing...
Today I have installed new firmware and tested if continuous printing is working with Caldera but unfortunately, no luck so far. Is there some trick to enable this or it is only for Flexi HP Edition?
Material is heavy duty banner (like on truck trailers) not canvas. Nothing has been applied/printed on it yet ... that is dirt on photo as this is 2-3 seasons exposed to outside elements. We can't get Cooley here so i was thinking Orajet 3451.
It is a heavy duty banner material, so you are thinking more "this should work" or "this will work"? :Big Laugh
Maybe also to take into consideration that location is really exposed - combo of salt (50 feet from sea), sun and strong winds.
We have a customer who would like to cover sides of awning banner with printed graphic on vinyl. As this would be full cover (not only cut letters), my gut feeling is that we should skip on this. I am guessing vinyl and banner will probably stretch differently on temperature changes which will...
I agree ... there is a reason it's called "stretched canvas". Those pictures are result of taking shortcuts especially on that size. You need to use canvas pliers or canvas stretching machine and staple it on actual canvas stretcher bars.
Second problem with IG system is that print is now...
