I know this is an old thread but yes you need to web it up and increase the tension/brake on the rollers so it has tension. tension will pull the vinyl tight and avoid the wrinkles. beware - too much tension will make small decals curl after die cutting.
we use a 120" HAUG bar mounted under our 126" hybrid flatbed gantry. cleans up the static real good as the acrylic panels go through. www haug-static com
CV is cheap. Redo it the way they want. Eventually the regional manager will show up and notice you cant read it then they will sort it out internally and call you to come back and do it white. you get paid twice.
I stopped putting those strips on there. they never lasted long and always the teflon would separate from the glue. I dont cut deep through the media so its really not needed.
