  1. Banding/Over-spray Problem....Help

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I will try to recalibrate the feed, as well as do a fill test on the slowest speed and get back with the results tomorrow.
  2. Banding/Over-spray Problem....Help

I have tried tweaking the correct profile and also tried a few others with the same or poorer results. Unfortunately I dont have any other vinyl to try but that may be my next best option. Here is my most recent test print after a manual clean this morning. Thanks for the suggestions
  3. Banding/Over-spray Problem....Help

Yes I've checked the feed calibration as well as the others. The banding has been an ongoing problem for months guess ill just have to live with it. Its the cyan over-spray that has really got me nervous as it seems to be getting worse day by day.
  4. Banding/Over-spray Problem....Help

So I did a headsoak and ended up drawing magenta into my yellow lines but I tried the fill test anyway. I have since recovered the yellow back to normal. Anyway the fill test shows banding in all colours except what would have been the yellow box which was printing magenta at the time. What does...

  6. Banding/Over-spray Problem....Help

I'm experiencing an extremely frustrating issue with banding and overspray on my sp540i, praying somebody can help me out. I have read through virtually this entire forum and tried nearly all of the fixes posted that i am capable of. I have done several manual cleans, changed cap-tops and...
  7. sp540i encoder strip

Ok thanks again for your time I truly appreciate it.
  8. sp540i encoder strip

It appears that the encoder strip is tucked in up and behind the rail the head carriage travels on. Am I supposed to blindly swipe back there with a lint-free cloth and alcohol? or is there a way to take it apart so i can see what i'm doing?
  9. sp540i encoder strip

Ok thank you I will give it a shot considering its never been done.
  10. sp540i encoder strip

Good afternoon folks, Does anybody know where/how to access the encoder strip on a versacamm sp540i? After hours and hours of reading through the forum I have not come across this specific info. Also, just so I am not wasting my time and ruining my machine, will cleaning the encoder strip help...

  12. Power outage Ruined my day

HI everyone, We just had a 2 second power outage while my VersaCamm SP 540i was printing. My question is: is there any way for it to resume prinnting where it left off or am I up Schitts Creek with no paddle? If anyone has dealt with this situation in the past I would love to hear about it...
  13. Problem with color output

Thanks for the quick responses. We have a roland sp540i and versaworks. The eps. file used was the same for both but I cant be sure if the material is exactly the same. Im wondering if the colors need to be adjusted in versa works right before i print? It just seems like the variance in the...
  14. Problem with color output

Happy Monday everyone, Im trying to reproduce a decal that was outsourced in the past but I cant seem to get the color right. Ive used the same file so I know the color is right before it is sent to the printer, and i'm using the correct ICC profile. What else am i missing? Ive attached a photo...
  15. Print Shop Environment

I have definitely considered the working space around the machines but hadnt thought of surge protection/GFI's. thanks for those tips. My biggest concern at the moment is how dust and airborne particles will come into play considereing the space we rent was once a wood working shop. We have...
