Changed the head, all good now.

I replaced the pump in the machine but one side is still not pulling ink to the waste container. That means I have 2 heads that aren't getting cleaned properly since they are attached to the same side of the pump. I have a great flow of ink below the captops so its not a starvation issue. Does...

It's one of the ink cartridges. Replace the faulty ink cartridge or chip and it should go back to normal.

Are you saying its the Printhead Carriage Board?

I bought this printer used 2 years ago. It hasn't leaked like this since I've owned it so this has been on here a while. Can I clean the terminals with alcohol or is there another solution for this? Also where can I get a replacement plastic protective cover for the heads?

I tried the head soak, pulled ink through the head with a syringe, cleaned the encoder strip, changed the dampers, and top caps, still no luck. When I print an image I am getting banding along with faint lines that go past the printed area a few inches.

Has there been any resolution to this? I seem to have a similar issue with my VP-540.
