  1. How to deal with this

That is actually a pretty good idea, but it is the rear door of the trailer.
  2. How to deal with this

The white is the original finish of the aluminum.... so not white, just a mill finish
  3. How to deal with this

I don't even think that would apply very well on a surface like that, although it would look 100% better
  4. How to deal with this

So basically the rear of the trailer is from what I can gather, raw aluminum or mill finish.... I think the everything around the old copy basically got sandblasted and pitted from exposure... I was curious why the other company did not talk to the customer before installing the new copy. In...
  5. How to deal with this

This is a pretty good customer of mine and recently they went through a name change of the company. They approached me to strip off the old graphics and reapply the new graphics. These are garbage trailers that transport garbage from here in Canada down to Michigan...( Thank you Michigan)...
  6. Vinyl removal

My Wagner wallpaper steamer is a blessing. It may at times leave more glue residue on certain vinyls but rapid remover takes care of that. If there is a lot of glue and the weather is decent I just spray the heck out of it and then brush all the glue loose with a car wash brush, and hit it with...
  7. Weeding small labels

Are these printed / laminated and then die cut or just regular vinyl cut letters? If regular vinyl cut, then 3M makes a 775 series that is on a clear liner which is really great for weeding small copy. (need to use high tac premask) If they are digitally printed with laminate, then depending...
  8. Summa Missed Cuts

It is strange as I have the Summa T series 140 and it cuts incredibly well and for the most part accurate.... I might add that what speed are you cutting at and how far apart are your registration marks?
  9. Summa Missed Cuts

Not a solution for your problem technically, but why not just print all the red or burgundy in large rectangles then put the cutlines within the box, so that if it skews the cut line is still in the colored box.
  10. JV100 ink usage question

That is fine, Flexi only has 1 or 2 profiles so that is a no no
  11. JV100 ink usage question

What rip do you plan on using with that printer?
  12. the future of graphic design

Canva should be banished from the earth...horrible files to deal with
  13. the future of graphic design

yes I agree but even my printer computer, which is pretty fast, had a tough time dealing with the delay times of the redraw.
  14. the future of graphic design

AI.... customer sent me a file...a 3" x 3" label generated by AI. eps file 32 meg...Took Signlab a while to open it. I thought for sure this was a bitmap saved at extreme resolution but it was not. Completely vectored. The redraw took a couple minutes and the design is pretty impressive...
  15. News Save $ on JetBest Ink

I have used Jet Best for over 8 years and I was worried at first, but after a few months realized it was better than Mimaki ink as far as not scuffing. This ink does not need the lines emptied before transitioning over so it must be pretty damn close to OEM. The only issue we have from time...
