Eddie, what you are doing is fine as long as the pumps and waste ink lines bellow capping station are not clogged. You need to be sure the ink lines shown in the picture I'm sending are completely free so the pumps can pull the ink properly from the head.

I understand but are you sure the ink you see is not dry. Do you see ink going to the waist tank while doing cleanings or ink charge? Sounds like a stupid question but I have seen it before

Eddie, check the ink line bellow the capping station. We have seen many cases dry ink in there and pumps are not capeble to suck the ink while making cleanings. If that is the case, clean or replace the ink line and suck the ink from there so you get ink all the way to the head. Connect...

Most probably you are having viscosity problems on your magenta cartridge. It is ESM, ESM2 or alternative Inks? When you say syringe pull for suction it was from the damper or capping station ? Get another cartridge from a different lot, make a couple of hard cleans and try again.

Keep in mind Mimaki, Roland, Mutoh are not ink manufactures . Just be sure who is actually your ink/cartridges provider and confirm it is a reliable ink manufacture. Also check if they offer any warranty as this will prove how sure they are about their product

Check the line that pulls the ink from the capping station to the waist tank while make cleanings and full up. Sometimes that line is clogged.

It is a PVC media? I could be DOP migration of that specific roll. Did you try another roll?
