  1. DX5 two line mergeded

Print heads are not meant to be repaired or refurbished. "Refurbished" typically implies the device has been thoroughly cleaned, all defective components have been replaced and the device thoroughly checked out, such as you see with a household appliance being sold by a manufacturer. The print...
  2. BN20a Left Roller will not move over to right

When you open the media lever, how much are the pinch rollers lifting?
  3. DX5 two line mergeded

A nozzle test print would be useful to help diagnose your issue.
  4. Don't know how to appraoch this..........................................................

Multiple factors that may keep the printer from getting good results at that temperature: 1. Ink viscosity is likely to be thicker, resulting in the print head having difficulty firing correctly. 2. The unknown factor would be if this would cause any internal damage to the print head trying to...

You may be experiencing what is called "Dot Gain Banding". Read the entry by henryp in this thread for an excellent explanation of the different types of banding. https://www.signs101.com/threads/chromatic-banding-issue.56211/ This link also gives quite a few explantions about various types of...

  8. Need Help Versaworks cutting

Try sending the file to both printers, then set the XF to print only and the XR to cut only. You can do this under Cut Controls in VersaWorks.
  9. XC-540 in storage for 4 years just brought it back out

Awesome! You will get parts you can trust and you will be supporting your local economy at the same time!
  10. Threaded a VERY small screwhead

What is likely causing the screw to be stuck is probably dried ink. First, remove the dampers from the print head to give yourself some working room. I would suggest using an eyedropper and placing a single drop of acetone on the screw top and pressing a swab soaked with acetone on the bottom of...
  11. News Save $ on JetBest Ink

People pay too much attention to the price of the ink cartridge. What's important is the cost of the ink per square foot on the finished product. Saving $15-$30 on an ink cartridge and then having to pay hundreds and thousands in repairs and lost business due to down time because of ink issues...
  12. XC-540 in storage for 4 years just brought it back out

Who did you order from? Please let us know who and we can give you our opinion. 2 week delivery sounds like a China company with a USA office to fool people. If you are suspicious, cancel the order and go with Solventinkjet.com. They only sell Roland OEM caps. Their DX4 dampers are aftermarket...
  13. XC-540 in storage for 4 years just brought it back out

Just make sure the caps are Roland OEM caps.
  14. XC-540 in storage for 4 years just brought it back out

Realistically, after that long you should replace the caps, wipers and dampers. I would suspect you will probably find the caps to be the source of your issue, with the rubber edges having gotten hard and not sealing well. Also, the O-rings in the bottom of the dampers have probably dried out...
