  1. Recurrent problem with Roland VS-300, nozzles go missing when doing cleaning. Come back after head soak... HELP!

Not sure where you bought your parts, but those prices are ridiculous! I'm presuming those are Canadian dollar amounts, which would mean you paid 2-3 times what you can get the parts for at Solventinkjet.com. I suggest you check them before buying any more parts... Agree, it looks like a bad head.
  2. VS540i Printing All Channels

What you are looking for is called "Fill" in service mode. Service menu-print menu-test pattern-fill. See attached... It prints each color individually at 100% ink, 720 dpi , standard speed, bi-directional.
  3. Roland SP300i missing nozzles

Before suggesting a solution, I have several questions. Where did you get the printhead? Did you install new dampers with the head? How old are the cap tops? I do initially suggest reseating the head ribbon cables, with the printer unplugged...

  5. SP540V Roland Carriages Are Disconnect

Here you go... If the caps are lined up in Step 4, you can skip steps 5-11 and go to Step 12. Be sure to move the cut carriage all the way to the left before hitting Enter in Step 14, or you will get an error.
  6. Need Help VP 540i Distortion, Double Printing, Wavy Edge?

You are on the right track, but using the wrong liquid. This is the best way to do this. You will need gloves, a clean microfiber cloth and acetone. Yes, acetone... It will not damage the encoder strip in any way. 91% alcohol is ok, but doesn't get all the ink off, while acetone will. NEVER use...
  7. Help

Check the ribbons going from the carriage board to the printheads. You did not mention them as a part you replaced.
  8. Problems with sheet

Based on one of your pics on your double photo thread, your pinch rollers are in serious need of cleaning. Use a foam swab and alcohol. And clean all the debris from around the roller shaft. As everything moves faster when cutting and the back and forth movement of the media, dirty pinch rollers...
  9. Roland VP 540 AND VERSAWORKS loosing IP connection and stop printing not connected

Before you put the new mainboard in, go into Service Mode and get the head rank for all 4 heads to enter into the new mainboard. Also go into the head adjust section and write down the horizontal and bi-direction settings. In addition, go into the crop-cut and print-cut alignment sections and...

  11. Need Help old ROLAND SP-300V problem

If there is no change in the number of missing nozzles after doing 2-3 head soaks, then I'm sorry to say, I believe the black channel is permanently clogged.
  12. Need Help old ROLAND SP-300V problem

Please post your latest nozzle check.
  13. Need Help old ROLAND SP-300V problem

You're making progress! Suggest posting a nozzle test at this time to see what you have. It looks like it's starving out as it prints. Try doing overnight head soaks and see if it brings it back. When you do nozzle test prints, mark them and keep them. After each cleaning cycle and nozzle test...
  14. Need Help old ROLAND SP-300V problem

Pull ink through the damper with a syringe. If you can't pull ink or get a lot of resistance, then remove the cartridge and try to pull again. If you are still getting resistance, remove the damper and connect the syringe to the ink line directly and see what happens. This is just in case the...
  15. Need Help old ROLAND SP-300V problem

As damonCA21 suggested, now swap the black and cyan dampers on the print head, do a normal clean and run the fill test again. The normal color laydown for this test is "KCMY". If the problem is a supply issue, meaning a bad/clogged damper, which I understand is new, then your printed pattern...
