  5. What material have you used for wrapping a cigarette boat

    I have worked on several types of boats...from Cigs to fishing to mastercraft's. The printers have always provided 3M 180CV3. The key is the prep, prime and seal. The bottom of the graphic has to be trimmed back 3/8" - 1/2" above the bottom edge of the boat and sealed w/ 3M edge sealer...no edge...

    You have to cut the vinyl back 1/2" from the bottom edge of the side of the boat. You also have to make sure that all exposed edges are sealed w/ 3M 3950 edge sealer.     You may have to go to a true felt squeegee instead of the sleeve. Even if you are using a sleeve and the squeegee has a knick or a small pc of dirt on it, it will scratch the material.
