Head soak then print blocks of magenta

Try printing a block of black 1.3mx80cm and see if theres any change. If not ill go with a head soak for an hour or more

wow we have similar test prints, if you want a quick fix try using a swab dipped in solvent and press it up against the printhead itself for 20-30 seconds followed up by a clean, for a long term fix try head soak.

Play around with Interpolation, direction, preset settings in the quality tab, i've done alot of testing and manage to go with something thats borderline, im using Bi linear, Bi direction and prepress japan and its been working well. You can also print a block of black and it might get the heads...

Alright guys job done Took out encoder strip Punched in holes / cut holes with a stanley knife Flipped the strip and tightened the screws Encoder strip successfully flipped.

Oh great, also looking at the youtube vids replacing the strip is rather simple, cheers guys

It seems the only worry is how to cut the strip down to size and punch a hole in it with the tools we currently have.

Agree with Vander My last place we always got the one off small white ink job and it was horrible, wasted material setting up along with the possible head drop out. Also we hardly printed white ink so we had to constantly clean it and have it ready for printing.

Yep as stated the heat sensor is on the right and it determines how much heat to apply. To avoid the problem your having I put some App tape over 3-4 holes at the front left of the printer so it circulates the warm air comming off the heater on the

2 months ago I was left with this to take care of and im not very experienced with maintenance, ill do a proper job at cleaning it in a few days time, Technician also did a head soak overnight and no changes. I will see if he can change the caps first before changing print head. Thanks guys.

Technician came and saw the test plot, straight away he said it was a fired print head so were going to replace that and see what it looks like, will update what happens, cheers for the reply
