  1. I don't think this fell off from any car wash

Is it possible the vehicle has been ceramic coated? I had that happen to me & the owner never told me about it.
  2. Discussion How do you charge Vinyl letters cut with a plotter?

I price per character, not by area, with quantity discounts beginning at 13 characters that increase with each time the amount doubles: 13-25 -5%, 26-50 -10%, 51-100 -15%, 101-200 -20%,…. Caveats: each discounted group must be same color & grade; very-small lettering individual prices increase...

  4. Question changing Flexi tool bar size?

I also uncheck the 'Standard' tool bar from the view since I never use it.
  5. Question What would cause these bad cuts on a Graphtec CE6000-60?

Usually when I get this on my Summa T, it's because a small piece(s) of vinyl is stuck to one or both of the small rollers on both sides of the tip of the blade.
  6. Summa S2T140 & Signlab 10 - skipping over while cutting

This sounds a lot like a known Summa Tangential head issue. I had the same problem with my T750 years back & the problem was found to be residual magnetism and was solved by adding a simple rubber grommet (7/16" x 5/16" x 1/16") around the shaft of the head to cushion the up movement & to keep...
  7. Looking for best adhesive remover

I can't believe how many still use Xylene! Don't all of you read the warnings on the label? "DANGER! VAPOR HARMFUL. MAY AFFECT THE BRAIN OR NERVOUS SYSTEM CAUSING DIZZINESS, HEADACHE OF NAUSEA. CAUSES EYE, SKIN, NOSE AND THROAT IRRITATION. MAY BE HARMFUL IF ABSORBED THROUGH SKIN. WARNING: USE...

  9. Oracal 651 colors downgraded to 4 year durability??

Has anyone else noticed in Oracal's new color chart that the Minimum Outdoor Durability rating on 651 (intermediate) has changed? Under the specs, it says: I notice on their website they have If 4 years is correct, that's a huge drop!!
  10. Fixing the Summa T-750 and Summa D610 with Sticking Head issue

Still looking for a fix Anything further on a fix for this? Has anyone tried the o-ring fix mentioned on another thread? It really wasn't that clear just where the o-ring was to go.
  11. Summa T750

My last post here regarding the T750 "gap" problem was 3 1/2 years ago. Sad to say, the problem still exists. After that post, I called Summa and talked to one of their technicians(?). His answer was that the head is an expendable part (like blades or the teflon strip) and must be replaced...
  12. Hardware key not found after XP upgrade

After talking to Amiable/Scanvec support, I found that since I had a Sentinel key, I had to get the Sentinel XP driver. If anyone else should have this problem, here's the link: http://www.safenet-inc.com/support/tech/sentinel.asp Thanks all. Tom
  13. Hardware key not found after XP upgrade

I just upgraded to Windows XP from Windows ME last night (long overdue). When I tried to get into my FlexisignPro program (7.6v1) this morning, I got a message that hardware key could not be found. I tried to contact Amiable via their online e-support but that doesn't work (got an error message...
  14. Summa T750

T750 head vs the D750 head My T750 head looks quite different than the D750. One big difference is that the normal position of the T750 head is up where the normal position of the D750 head is down. I've attached are a couple of pics. Thanks gang. Tom
  15. Summa T750

I had this "leaving a gap" problem a few years back with my D750 & had to ship the entire cutter (less stand) to Seattle for repair. While it was there I had the unit converted to a T750. The tangential head has been great (able to cut down to a 1/4" font height) but now that blasted gap problem...
