One half of one head was out. We sent the board in because Kent at MacMedia said it was probably a board fuse. We had tried swapping cables already and that didn't fix the problem.

I need to send out my mainboard for a repair and it may take up to a few weeks before I get this machine up and running again. What's the best way to store this thing with zero power? Just fill the caps with cleaner and park the heads? The printer is a Roland SJ 745EX - Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback; I was getting a bit concerned as I hadn't heard back from Kent at macmedia after sending several emails. He has since replied and yes, I'll be sending the board back for round two.

Duh...I guess that info would help wouldn't it? It's a Roland SolJet 2 Pro V SJ745-EX - I should add that I just heard back from macmedia and he's suggesting I return the board to them although they will be shut down for the next ten days or so.

I agree with artbot, soapy water in a spray bottle. Also wondering what grade of aluminum you're working with? Never had any issues with our Shopbots running Onsruds except for the harder grade aluminum. You might also consider posting this on the Shopbot forum http://www.talkshopbot.com/forum/...
