  1. Print alignment issue.

First of all thanks to everyone who responded to my post about my ink issue a while back. It was a bad capping station. What I am experiencing now is misaligned print cut in the scan direction. I had a tech look at it today when he serviced my machine and he was stymied. The best way to...

I want to thank you for helping me with my ink issue. It was a bad cap station. I have a print cut issue that even the tech couldn't diagnose though. Wondering if you had any idea on this problem. What I am experiencing is misaligned print cut in the scan direction. The best way to describe it...
  3. Ink issue

Thanks Artbot, I tried to compare the yellow membrane to the magenta and they seemed to relax the same. I didn't hear any air escaping from the line that goes to the pump when I put a vacuum on the line either. I am wondering if that line would be an issue since it also draws to the magenta...
  4. Service Rep

I am looking for someone who is good to deal with to service a Roland printer. I am in southern Maine and don't seem to have anyone really close by. Can anyone direct me to who they use that would be located in the Boston area perhaps? I don't want to shop the yellow pages because I don't know...
  5. Ink issue

No it stays on and runs it's interval ink pump cycle. I use Roland ink and the caps were serviced and checked about 6 months ago. It's odd because it's only yellow so I was thinking maybe a damper, ink line or something.
  6. Ink issue

I have a Roland sp300 that won't print the color yellow if the machine is dormant for 24 hours. If I do a medium or powerful head cleaning it comes back just fine but if the machine sets overnight the next day it won't print until it is cleaned. The cap tops are adjusted fine and the machine has...
  7. Do NOT buy a Roland in the North East

The mouth runners Well, I did get the help I needed and I would suggest that any of you dirt bags who want to run me down for my opinion of this situation kindly send me the last two months of your wages. Oh my... mister "up and running in five days" has a positive attitude... well why not...
  8. Do NOT buy a Roland in the North East

Pete Thanks Pete. I don't consider NJ far enough northeast lol! Most of the techs here come from Mass and since I am in Maine they'd have to actually travel when they can just hover in their area. You might as well live in Newfoundland as Maine to get any sign service. It's even tough at...
  9. Do NOT buy a Roland in the North East

Andrew- There was also another woman from an outfit in Saugus I believe that was supposed to get back to me and she never did. That's the way it has been with these jerks up here. I'd love to post a complete list of the companies that promised call backs, returned emails, a guy's will be out on...

Andrew If they are from Supplies Unlimited forget it.
  11. Do NOT buy a Roland in the North East

Just to be clear, when I say the keys to get into service mode I do not mean holding the three lower keys while pushing the power button. I need the firmware specific sequence "i.e down, right, left, up" that you need to input before doing service menu access.
  12. Do NOT buy a Roland in the North East

Andrew Sorry Andrew, I have heard this already and I am finished with these guys. I have lost two months with this and I am not sitting here looking at a machine that is in pieces because some Roland Whiz Kid decided he has better things to do than make a return trip (or even call and say that...

Roland DGA Any post where you discuss anything pertaining to doing your own service or even thinking about the service menu gets yourself flamed at Roland DGA. Then again, what are they going to do? Give you the info to things that if you found out how easy they are you wouldn't pay a tech...
  14. Do NOT buy a Roland in the North East

Sequence Its a shot. I have firmware 6.50 for an SP300 so it's hard to say if it will work. I even had it written down at one time months ago and can't find it. I have searched on a few forums and have found other versions but not one for 6.50. Usually if you ask there's always someone who has...
  15. Do NOT buy a Roland in the North East

Currently I am trying to swap out a print head. I need to do this job myself because I have been through four techs that promised to look at it but don't call back, reply to emails or show any interest what so ever in doing the job. I will gladly give you folks their names so you can avoid them...
