I have a JV33 and can set the refresh rate from 0-3. This is the setting that causes the heads to spray a blast over the capping station during print. Apparently when new, the setting is at 0 and it goes to the cap and sprays on every pass. Major ink consumption. So I have mine set at 3 and...

Ended up being a bad damper on one cyan channel. It was allowing ink to flow out onto the head then the other nozzles were ejecting it onto the print.

Hi Guys, Just has a catastrophic HD failure and had to rebuild. I had Onyx 11 and was able to install from a downloaded install file, but the printer installer files are gone. Anyone have the hard copies (dvd, cd) I need a prninst file for a mimaki JV33-160. Onyx only has the files for 12...

I saw this post on Signs101 from a while back. Wondering if you ever located the 5.7 prm with MAPS. Apparently Mimaki decided to stuff it away in order to sell newer printers.

Ok I feel like an idiot. I cleaned and cleaned but couldnt get it right, until I found the smallest fragment of material stuck to the end of the platen. I guess better to be stupid than buying a new head huh

Hi It looks like that, but under the loop you can see that it is actually a black head firing onto the magenta bar. It comes in waves in that it seems to get heavy, then after a few passes begins to reduce, then it comes back. I really think its an overheating of something, but not sure what.
