You could run it in single head mode...try on then the other, that one head could be intermittently faulty. It may also be a paper feed motor that is failing. Someone mentioned cleaning the encoder. Did you do that

This is a faulty print head, there is very bad deflection on the nozzles and if you zoom in on the C1 and M1 black numbers below, you can see splotches of ink over those......The head is misfiring cyan on black as well. It does look like ink starvation, but I am sure it is not......I have seen...

Where do you insert the syringe to depressurize? The output in the dampers or the input to the ink holder assy? thanks

I'm an Epson authorized tech. Cyan and magenta, I believe, share one lane or small cap on the pump cap assy. Your nozzles look to be missing those two colors. I would suggest that this is a pump cap issue. I would clean the face of the head, clean the cap with a generous amount of cleaning...

You can also try to slow it down, ink over saturation with some media can cause it to swell and buckle....Lower dpi, less ink.....The drying suggestions are more likely.

Make sure the media settings are correct. See if there are any deflected nozzles on the nozzle test. Run the head alignments as previously suggested. You can also try uni or bi as they also suggested and try turning off one head to see if that makes a diff

I'm an Epson authorized tech in Los Angeles, you need to depressurize the system using the Epson Adjustment Program first, otherwise, the ink is going to be all over the place as it is under pressure. The part is $400-600 I believe. Weak pump caps can cause nozzle dropouts, as can old print heads.
