We roll it tight onto a tube, don't put it inside.

Clear application tape (orafol) works much better for this than paper app tape.

Due to all the issues, white has been discontinued for a long time now (in Australia).

Thanks so much for trying to help! We just put in a cleaning cartridge and pulled the cleaning fluid through the cyan line. Hoping to soak it overnight, then put the cyan back, and pull the ink back with a syringe. Will try your suggestions tomorrow when blue is back in the line.

Talking them out of it is the answer! Thanks for reassuring me. We have put Orafol 551 decals on powdercoated signs without any issues in the past - I guess our powder-coater guy uses the right stuff , so no issues with sticking :-)

I think they are afraid of vandalism - people picking off the little dots that form the decal work. Yes, what you guys are saying makes total sense, I was afraid of cracked edges as well. Thanks so much for your advise!

I was asked to clear coat a powder coated aluminium sign, which has Orafol 551 decals on it. What would you guys usually use for clear coating this? I looked at posts, there is always the general term, "clear coat" but what is the actual coating material? Thanks heaps!

Thanks for your suggestions, we will go ahead with a horizontal join and just butt joining factory edges of the panels instead of double cutting. The join will be at the level where the safety strip is on the inside. So not invisible, but still hidden a bit. Much appreciated your input!

Thanks so much for all of your ideas. Here is what happened: encoder strip and print head has been cleaned already. We tried double path, still stripes (plus we are also getting almost like a moire effect. Tried uni direction, maybe a bit better, but still stripes. Tried two other profiles...

Thank you for trying to help. I'm using an rgb file from illustrator. Converted into and eps. It is a single pink rectangle. nothing else. There is nothing wrong with the actual color, I can match what I need to very very close. But it's not consistent in the print.

Thanks for your reply . I used Photo-tex (on the attached image) but also printed on Concept 201 vinyl. Same issue.
