  2. Which Table Saw for PVC, Aluminum, Dibon

Powermatics are nice but expensive. Frankly, if you are a cabinetmaker, then a Powermatic makes sense. If you are chopping up pieces of Dibond or whatever, a decent contractor's type saw will suffice for much less money. This one is $529.00. Add a good quality ATB carbide blade for another...
  3. Seeking enlightenment

Check with these guys. They have packages specifically for sign lighting. They will assist you with what you need. http://wisepowersystems.com/ Having researched this a bit, I can tell you that the solar solution ain't cheap. An electrician running new wire and installing standard lighting...
  4. A bridge that you may cross

There you go. I was raised in a family retail jewelry business. We were a custom shop, so almost everything that went out the door involved shop time. My dad always said "if you don't have some customers walking away because they think you are too high, then you aren't charging enough."...
  5. How do you handle....... Employee Fights?

Sorry, I won't even tolerate the yelling. If you can't conduct yourself as a professional, I have no use for you. Send me a postcard from your new job.

  7. My favorite day of the whole year.

Why, for God's Sake, do we not just stop "Falling back"? Dumbest damned thing I ever saw.

    I'm impressed. Nice.
  12. Generic (cheap) cutting strips?

Sure, I get it. And a generic part for $20.00 rather than $200.00, now that makes sense. But an $11.00 part that you are going to have to cut and fit and futz around with in order to save $19.00 over a 30.00 expenditure really doesn't make sense to me. It's all about what makes good business...
  13. Generic (cheap) cutting strips?

The time you spend writing and reading the posts will be worth more than the $30.00 + shipping.
  14. Wrapping a Truck Hood

When we opted to buy the HP 25500, we also upped the size of our laminator to 65" and the size of our plotter to 64". We haven't been sorry.
  15. Looking for Polycarbonate sheet - white .500"

Yep that's your answer. They have asked for an esoteric material that is difficult to get, expensive and inappropriate. Give them the answer, $900.00 * your standard markup, and 8 week lead time. Now, Mr. customer here is a better, less inexpensive alternative: xxxxx. I too don't see...
  16. Graphtec FC8000-160, "Groaning"

Thank you gentlemen. Tina is accounted for. Arf.
  17. Graphtec FC8000-160, "Groaning"

First, let me say that the unit is working perfectly. However, instead of its original smooth gliding motion it how seems to jerk along in fits and starts and makes a groaning noise. Is there some maintenance that needs doing? The Graphtec manual really doesn't say anything about cleaning or...
  18. First real sign

The ends on your dimension arrows are so long it took me awhile to figure out that they are arrows. Again, this is constructive criticism aimed at helping you to look a bit more professional. Moze is right, they should be outside the drawing. Grab some professionally done blueprints and study...
  19. I'm going to share this with all of you!

    Been watching lately???
  20. Coffee or tea?

Black Coffee, all day long. My Costco has its own roaster and roasts the beans fresh. Sumatran dark roast. When you open the bag the beans are coated with oil. This stuff is delicious. It's the reason I keep my Costco membership.
