You obviously don't know me. Unlike some of you other guys, I don't feel any need to gloat and go on about what our revenue is or size of my business. It has no bearing on debating business philosophy.
Wait. So you'll pay someone to tell you what you want to hear and take that as the gospel but will ignore the people with decades of business experience as if they are beneath you? You think you're something special and maybe you are but there are holes in everything you say.
How long did...
You said you did it for months but now say people can be replaced in a few days, which one is it? It sounds to me like you haven't really been faced with this yet so you have this illusion that you are somehow immune from what everyone else deals with.
I always have listened to the old timers...
Exactly so if your net is 20-30%, fairly average, then you need around $800k in additional revenue just to cover this added person. To get that extra $800k, now you need more space, people and machines which gets stacked on top and the cycle repeats forever until you put on the brakes or spend...
That's what I'm saying, in order to get this idea of freedom you have, you have to do more and more which is self defeating. Nobody sticks around forever, even 50/50 business partners eventually split, in fact, I saw that unfold the other day with a multi million dollar construction business...
I more meant that after basic monetary needs are met, then anything above that doesn't matter as long as the work is enjoyable but that's in the context of being self employed. I'm not working for anyone but myself for free.
You're correct that 1 person can't do everything, you do what you...
There are many examples of companies that are end to end producers so that is not entirely true. You're on a bit of a tangent here comparing a high volume low margin process that requires millions upon millions of equipment to a sign shop that does not produce 1 single product over and over...
It takes a special license and specific training so hiring a pilot is fairly simple IMO. They HAVE to know how to do the job and have thousands of hours of experience before they even get their license so there is no gray area and very little risk in hiring.
I will concede this point although I think the example isn't a good fit but the principal of working on your business rather than in it is a good one. You can know how to do all aspects of your business and not fill any of the roles which helps tremendously and keeps you nimble. Many people...
I agree and will take back calling you a dingdong. That's a good way to expand or venture out and have done the same. The beginning is brutal and most of us have been there. It does eventually pan out if you stick to it.
Just ask that dodo texassignmaker, guy went from working in a shed in...
There ya go. Congratulations on reaching this goal, we all wish we had more free time.
Like Tex, I also like working, especially in this industry and don't see myself quitting anytime soon. We run 3 separate types of businesses that are all tied together, all are things that I enjoy and want...
Dude, are you dense? What part of sales is revenue do you not understand? I have a bachelor's degree in business and you're telling me to go take classes, what do you got besides a thick skull and light shining through your ears?
I know you were expecting everyone to ooo and ahhh at you but...
Is it slower because youre running more colors on it maybe? At least they acknowledged the issue and developed a fix for it, that's more than most nowadays.
This has came up a few times here, IIRC, those big button covers unscrew. If I'm thinking of the right thing, google hucktainers or "huck for frp" and you should be able to see them and how/if they come apart.
