  3. Thin Clients With a Twist, Y'all Ready?

842 Partners!? Jesus. MS is getting out of hand. Just yesterday on our computer that runs our flatbed cutter, trying to set up and send jobs down and get interrupted by some BS pop up asking if I'm enjoying some service. Getting sick of all the ads and "features" that you can't avoid, even...

  5. Chipply - I just bought it for apparel stores and love it

Interesting, looks really good! If only someone had something simple like this for signs..... On top of the $1,000 set up, you're also paying them 6.4% per transaction? https://chipply.com/pricing I guess that's where they make their money back. (Not a stab, just trying to wrap my head...
  6. Vinyl Recommendation?

This, and also the fact that you're trying to stick with removable films for some reason? For windows & walls we generally stick to 3M 40C or 3M IJI80cv3. Paired with a high tack premask like TransferRite 992U.
  7. Credit Card Companies

Yep, same thing in Canada. As much as I hate losing 3-4 points on payments, I'd rather eat that than charge customers a fee to take their money. Most of our large customers have terms and pay EFT but all other customers pay by CC. I'd sooner have the money in our account today less 3-4%...

  9. Vacuum hole dust spots on fabric

  11. Need Help Choice & Source of Acrylic

Welcome to Signs 101. You're about to spend a quarter million on equipment but want an internet forum to tell you which material to get, where to get it and how much to charge? Don't mean to come across as an asshole, just want to make sure I'm understanding the request here. What kind of...

  13. Any Canadians have experience hiring immigrants?

Yeah, but were they made by illegals tho?
  14. Carts for moving 4x8ft sheets

This is sweet, thanks for sharing. Something like this would be super helpful for staging/loading between our flatbed printer and cutter. Too bad we can't order it on Amazon here in Canada and it works out to be around $800 CDN with shipping if we buy direct. Time to make a knock-off me thinks.
  15. Any Canadians have experience hiring immigrants?

What color did you choose for your F*ck Trudeau decal on your Silverado?
  16. Any Canadians have experience hiring immigrants?

I know, I just like talking trash to robots. If a spambot gets insulted on an online sign forum, does it make a noise? :blondie:

  18. Any Canadians have experience hiring immigrants?

Whereabouts in Canada can I find USA Austin? I'm not familiar with where you're from.
  19. News Mimaki Ink Price Increase

I'm sure all Mimaki dealers would echo this. Our local dealers don't stock it anymore and have to bring in from their main branch. What we could get same day before now takes about a week. Once it does finally hit the floor it's pretty rare that we have more than 6 months of life left in...
  20. Latest in AI News(Test forthcoming)

Good point, this will probably give the computer manufacturers an excuse/opportunity to sell premium builds designed to handle AI's demands, where as the basic (cheaper) out of the box computers eventually won't have the processing power to handle the new technology.
