Yes you can. There is info if you search the forum.
-flush the whole ink system with solvent cleaning fluid
-make sure you did step one VERY VERY WELL. If you mix solvent and sublimation ink it will gel up and clog the heads and kill them.
-flush the solvent flush out with sublimation...
It should just laminate like any old vinyl. We lay it flat on a table and feed it in but there isn’t really anything special about laminating adhesive to banner
i have to admit that when I initially read window cling I thought you meant static cling too and thought you were crazy…
Sorry, I never saw your reply. The paper is slightly larger than 24" and will allow you to print a 24" panel without any bleed. I'm guessing that by now you already found a printer but we still have the VJ628 if you're interested.
Hi, just curious but have you seen this done somewhere else? I've never had any luck with this due to the temp. You can sublimate down to about 350F maybe even lower but you might just need a foam base that'll take a higher temp or else maybe you can flatbed UV this?
Hi, as far as I know you can't run the GX-24 from versaworks which is crazy and drove us absolutely nuts. The print and cut set up is kind of a joke and we never got it to work. That being said it's a great little cutter... Ours is actually having issues and we just replaced it with a 63"...
if you get really stuck I believe I have 89” in our storage but I need to check. Barely ever sell them but I throw a couple in each time we do a container order from China. I’m in hawaii though so shipping might be interesting
We did one recently for $8K. I think you're going to see answers all over the board and some people telling you to figure it out yourself... I think we were low for our area (Hawaii) but lower than what most people are charging. At the time we had only done 5 or 6 trucks previously and it...
Hi Tia, My name is Tai and people call me Tia all the time...
What press do you have? You mentioned that the grommets came with the press and you have to apply a ton of pressure to grommet stuff. If you bought one of the starter lower end presses you might want to look at upgrading to a Hiker...
Hi, I'm guessing this isn't it as it's pretty obvious but have you had any nasty head strikes. We had this happen once where the retainer (for lack of better words) that runs around the edge of the head got kind of peeled back during a head strike and we then had ink leak out of the side...
you could try swapping the heads, if the first one is that bad the second one is probably clogged too.
you could manually pull a ton of cleaner through the head. Might work
like Jordan mentioned if you find a head under $2k just skip it
if you need any boards i had the same printer and we...
I don’t think it’s even covered in the service manual but if you just start by taking off the top and then the left side cover and just taking piece by piece off until you can slide the cutter module off I don’t think it’s that bad. Sometimes the print head carriage is kind of spring loaded...
Hi, I've been through this before as well and unfortunately it seems like in the end it's probably a head replacement and yeah, sometimes they last forever and sometimes they don't. If you want to try it you can disconnect the ink line where it goes into the cartridge needle assembly and stick...
If no one replies back there should be a part number on the bearing. Since it’s the cutter bearing you might be able to disassemble the left side of the machine and slide off the cutting module to look at the bearing part number. Try not to remove the bearing from the rail unless the you have...
samedaytees.com is decent for dtg. We have a kornit and before we got ours working we sent them a few jobs and it worked ok. Tried their digital squeegee (the screen the white base and then dtg on top of it and those were pretty bad though).
acetransco.com does sub transfers but you might...
If you are mechanically inclined and really like fixing things you can look at used DTG printers but they it's going to be a frustrating experience and lower end dtg printers are VERY slow. Even $15+ Epson, Brother, etc brand new printers are going to be surprisingly slow. The heat press is to...
I also vote that you order from Jordan. Great pricing and support. I’ve bought a number of mimaki and Roland heads from him and always been very happy with everything.
wishing I knew about the head memory trick earlier lol.
Hi, I've got a VJ628 set up for 8 color and VERY little use on it. It includes the take up roll, stand, everything and I'm looking for $2250+ shipping (paid around $5500 from Conde). It comes with a 50-75% full ink set. Shipping might be a couple hundred at least. I have the original...
