  1. JV300 sublimation issing nozzles

Do what Jordan said. We had a JV300 running the 2L mimaki sublimation bags and had a lot of ink problems similar to yours. Ours was bad though in that we'd loose our entire yellow ink channel in both heads and this happened multiple time. He mentions a head flush and at one point I ran...
  2. Question Mimaki Print Issue - Help Please

either you’ve got something dragging off the head carriage (lint, piece of vinyl, etc) which is likely near the black head and is causing those marks of the head is damaged but I’m betting it’s something dragging. Look everywhere with a flashlight, not just next to the head. you’ll often get...
  3. GX24 problem ??

Have you tried running it from one if the plug-ins like the ones built for illustrator, Corel, etc? I thought those were downloadable our gx is sitting in a corner needing some work. Just started cutting slightly off after a while and couldn’t figure it out. Bought a bigger one and never got...

terrytown.com coastal business products joto johnson plastics conde systems We generally import our blanks but sometimes it's hard as many of the Chinese suppliers have now partners with US brands/distributors so they may ask you to go through their distributor in the USA. For a lot of items...
  5. VP-540 no power

Hopefully some one else will chime in but if I remember right usually the head protection fuse will blow on the head board and I don’t thing it’ll power on if that blows. I’m retiring my vp540 and have all parts available. Putting one of there heads into our Roland UV but everything else is...

  7. material for outdoor floor graphic - trying to decide based on what's available

Thanks! I forgot about that stuff. I wonder if it would last a month outdoors with medium foot traffic. I'm always worried about it getting scuffed up with no lam but the texture does seem to protect the ink well. It sure would make production easier not having to lam it...
  8. Looking at the Epson SureColor S60600

Thanks for the advice. We’re in Hawaii and order pretty much everything site unseen. Just got a kornit dtg printer and that was a crazy thing to order because with something that big we would have flown to demo it but with covid… going with the s60 and finally upgrading to onyx from our...
  9. material for outdoor floor graphic - trying to decide based on what's available

Hi, I've got a large 60x60' or larger graphic that we're putting down outside on outdoor tile. I was planning on using 3M IJ40 but this is super last minute and I don't know if I can get it in time. My options are below and I'm mainly worried about how clean they will come off. The graphic...
  10. Looking at the Epson SureColor S60600

I’m about to pull the trigger on a S80600 and was going to go for the additional color channels but no white ink. I like the idea of being able to print pretty much any color but is the consensus just to go with dual cmyk? We’re printing pretty much everything from apparel htv to banners...
  11. Adjustable Banner Stands

Generally the cheap ones aren’t as the poles are shock corded and only work at one height ones with telescoping poles are adjustable When we spec ours out and order from China (we order a couple hundred at a time once a year or so) we do our cheap ones with the 78” poles and our nicer ones...
  12. Is there any one man shop making around 500k$ in annual sayles

We have 4-5 people and are in the 900k+ range so it's doable. We do a lot of wholesale though so our margin isn't that great and the volume is probably inflated a bit. But yeah, a lot of it depends on outsourcing. We do a lot of products overseas even though we have a all the equipment to do...
  13. Laminates

I didn't have time to look it up but for mid range stuff we use Oracal's intermediate 210G and 210M and don't have much color shift. We mainly print on General Formulations films and found that their calendared laminate wasn't all that great and that the Oracal is easier to handle, doesn't seem...
  14. Suggestions Wholesale screen print T-Shirts

You might be better on t-shirtforums.com or else talk to whoever you order blanks (Sanmar, Alphabroder, TSC, etc) from and ask them for trade printers in the area you need them to be. I think that location is the main thing you're going to need to figure out. If you happen to be an ASI member...
  15. Marabu Inks

You don't have to switch at all but it's pretty common to use aftermarket ink simply because it costs less. We use Bordeaux from Solventinkjet.com and really like it. We actually like it more than the SS21 oem as the fumes are way way less potent in an enclosed space while printing. We've...
  16. Removable Cast Vinyl?

General formulations has a thin semi-gloss anti-slip laminate that we use a lot. It tears up a bit faster since it's thin but it looks good and we use it on decals going on textured surfaces since it seems to let the decal mold to the floor contours a bit more. Or at least we think it does...
  17. Cyan in dripping from head Mimaki CV 150 3 years old.

sadly I think you need a new head you can pull the dampers and see if maybe one is leaking or there is ink pooled down in the tray there dampers sit in but whenever I’ve had a leaky head eventually I ended up replacing it
  18. What Rip are most people using on their Epson S80600?

This isn’t a big help but I’m getting one soon and we’re getting onyx with it. This is mainly as it seemed to play nice with all of our other equipment (mimaki cutter, Zund, other solvent printers) and the package deal wasn’t that bad from Grimco printing and cutting from our mimaki jv150 to...
  19. Mimaki CJV30 for sublimationprinting ?!

You may have to update the firmware or upgrade rasterlink to see the SB54 option. I think we upgraded rasterlink and it showed up then when we converted our JV300. Sorry, I'm not sure on this one but it is an option, you just need to be on the right version of the software to be able to choose it.
  20. Mimaki CJV30 for sublimationprinting ?!

Hi, I think that you might not quite understand sublimation ink. This changeover process isn't extremely difficult but if you're a beginner I caution trying to do this yourself. 1.) Sublimation ink is water based and is NOT opaque. There is no suck thing as white sublimation ink. You will be...
