  1. Free Stuff For Y'all

This is a template for a Renegade by Rance Enclosed Car Trailer. 10% Scale. It really does get shorter in the front.
  2. How do you handle color matching with clients?

1st get a Pantone Color Bridge swatch book. That shows you and the client the difference between a true spot color ink and what the closest a CMYK-based printer can achieve. That sets everyone's expectations. Then find or make your own Pantone color chart in your standard application, using...
  3. Need Help jackshaft gear issues

I have also had what you think would be an insignificant spec of crud on a gear lock a motor up. The tolerances on these machines are so tight that something like this can cause it to not perform correctly.
  4. Need Help jackshaft gear issues

Sounds like your motor is bad if I am reading this correctly. When they go bad they lock up when powered up. (If I remember correctly)
  5. 3M Blue Tape alternative

We use the green 3M tape here, from Uline, no idea on the cost difference though.
  6. BN-20 20" Material

Call Trigon Imaging, they can get your rolls slit to width. I'm assuming you're in the USA?
  7. 3M 823i retroreflective wrapping

We have used 3M IJ680CR-10 for many many years and if you are careful you can apply it like a wrap in most cases. We purchased a roll of 3M IJ 780 and had a LOT of issues with edges lifting and peeling. 3M ended up giving us a refund for the roll and we have stuck with the 680 ever since.
  8. Discussion S60600 vs S80800 for Dirt Bike/ Sled Graphics as well as all around use?

This fade was after a year using an Epson 70670 with all inks in the profile. We started noticing fading and Epson just said "sorry our inks are not warranted for any certain period" and left us high and dry. I believe the newer 80600 inks are "better" but I sure as heck am not going to trust...
  9. Discussion S60600 vs S80800 for Dirt Bike/ Sled Graphics as well as all around use?

YES. The additional inks fade a whole lot faster. Different pigments used and are NOT warranted against fading by anyone.
  10. Translucent Panel Print

I agree with the comment above to put a black border around the edges. Or, just do this one in paint instead of a print.
  11. Translucent Panel Print

Posting the face's image might give us some ideas on how to better produce the end product.
  12. 3M 823i retroreflective wrapping

Definitely print that on 3M IJ 680CR-10 then.
  13. 3M 823i retroreflective wrapping

Reflexite comes in larger sizes and is a great bit easier to work with than the 3M Diamond Grade material. Does it "HAVE" to be that level of reflectivity? If not, 3M IJ680CR-10 works a lot easier over surfaces like this.
  14. Epson S40600 grainy output

We primarily print on 3M IJ180c or CV3 (cast vinyl) here.
  15. Epson S40600 grainy output

I'm going to bet that it is the media. When I've ran cheaper media in the past I've seen results like this before. We get ultra smooth crisp prints off of our Epsons.
  16. GFP Laminators?

Yes, we are laminating primarily 3M self adhesive wrap vinyl. We also run other things and even signs through the laminators to mount them. We run at 110 degrees with heat assist and get no silvering at all, you can run without heat assist and get very minimal silvering. The laminators go higher...
  17. GFP Laminators?

We love them here. We have three now. We run roll-to-roll all day long. Quick to learn and easy to set up. We haven't had any issues out of ours other than eventually you will have to replace the heating element, or maybe that's eliminated now... I think they got us a "upgrade kit" when one of...
  18. Free Stuff For Y'all

    Here's a 53ft Tanker template, 10% scale!
  19. Discussion S60600 vs S80800 for Dirt Bike/ Sled Graphics as well as all around use?

It all depends on your target market. If you're doing a bunch of non-commercial one-off stuff like motorbikes, I'd say 80600 as it does hit a bit wider spectrum of color. It is a bit slower, and the colors will fade over time but that isn't as important for non-commercial work. If you're doing...
  20. Question kyocera heads in Vanguard develops groves over time. Not head strikes. Why?

Whoever said it was headstrikes, you need to talk to their boss. Look at the right one it has a "recessed square" in the top area. The middle one has little "holes" in the bottom center. Yeah, definitely caused by heads trikes.
