someone with access to vectormagic should try to run the some images through both and see if the results are comparable. I tried a couple images. It only worked well with a very high res clear jpeg file. 90% of the files i get don't do well using any type of autotracing tool.

Agreed. I typeset Monrserrat and Gotham almost daily. 2 very similar fonts that are used frequently. If we could get fewer people to use Arial that would be great.

the problem with this tutorial for a bevel is that the results are raster effects. They are not vector results. Only the outside edge is vector. The inner parts are rasterized so they cannot be cut out of vinyl and you must pay attention to resolution of the file

The basic version allows you to create freely but in order to get a usable vector in svg or pdf format you have to be a premium subscriber. Isn't Canva just another tool and in the hands of beginners it results in files that don't...

It's the companies that produce the trucks themselves such as Pierce that have/use certain fonts when they custom build the rigs. Not the department, unless that department had a local sign shop add graphics to a blank truck

from what i understand many fonts used on firetrucks are proprietary and not generally available unless someone created one to look similar
