You cannot use Light inks on Arizona 400 series. 480 ink configuration is double Cyan and Magenta for faster speed in production mode and nozzle redundancy. Light inks only applies to 1200 series and up.

I would look into pump and ink filter first and I would run flush into to Cyan channel before replacing the head.

From the printer monitor, Go to Settings then Select Printer and look for "end of swath delay", default value is "0", make it 2 seconds. What it does is it will stop for 2 seconds every swath of the carriage. By this you will find out if it is an ink starvation issue due to delay in ink supply...

I would suggest you to try and put 2 seconds end of swath delay from printer settings to find out if it is an ink supply issue. This will delay the carriage travel across the media and compensate for ink supply issue that you might have or not.

Print a nozzle check immediately when banding starts to happen. I am curious if there are more problematic channel other than Cyan. It must be an air leak that causing the nozzle dropouts but you have to isolate on which channels check the fittings of those channels as well as age of filters...

I would check/replace printhead cables first in case you have not yet.

Are you sure if the static bar is working? There are cases that the power supply of the bar is switched off. You can test it with a non contact voltage tester.

If you can take a look at Teckwin TS5000HF would be great. In terms of quality, speed, reliability and price point. It can print up to 5 meter rolls so depends on your media size you can even print at least 2 rolls at a time. I believe they have an operation in Australia, I am not sure though.

I have a clone disc for Arizona 400 series. You would need an acronis software to reload it to the new HDD.

Could be an old material issue. Try with other material or newer batch.

You can remove the shutter assembly from the uv lamp housing and there you will see by rotating the shutter motor that either the shutter lamp shaft is touching the bearing plate or the plate is touching the shutter sensor. You can adjust the distance using an allen key.

Go to the ink status page and check the coolant pump speed. If it is 0 or below 2000, it could be very well be either the coolant pump or circulation pump which is inside the carriage. I read that you get some burnt smell on the circulation pump, which most likely to be the culprit.

Thank you for your response. Some of the 3rd party supplier inks does not support Océ Arizona 1200 series. It works on the older models though. The ink and chip must support the 1200 series for my purpose. My email is louiecabrera0516@gmail.com.

Onyx Thrive is the typical RIP that comes with an Oce Arizona. I know there is a printer driver for Caldera and Colorgate but not really sure with Flexi.

Did you manage to solve your problem? It is possible that the machine software is corrupted or the data relay board (small board connected to PCI slot of motherboard) is removed or broken at worst.
