This is what the race team should have done - installed it on top of the wrap and ripped it off before the car was sent for post-race inspeciton. If they had been reading Signs101 they would have known 'under the wrap' was a bad idea.
Seems that they are regulated down to the smallest detail including air pressure in the tires both pre and post race to catch the cheaters. I try to imagine what it would be like if our voting system was even 1/10th as regulated....

Check what kind of pricing you can get on 3mil pvc. If you go 4x8 you can gang and mount 5 on a sheet at one time. PVC is easy to cut smooth and clean. Won't curl or bow with moisture and hanging inside, the sun is not going to bother it. Mirror frame extrusions would work nice for that 2x3...
